Because of continues misuse of the shrtcode URL Shortening service we now have a system to prevent users from shorteneing links to specific websites. This includes phishing websites, websites which distribute malware, adult websites and websites linked to illegal activites.
When you try to shorten a link which is disallowed, an error will appear letting you know that you can't shorten that specific link. In most cases it will also display a reason why that link is disallowed.
If you think a specific link is disallowed/blocked by mistake, please let us know by sending us an email to email@example.com - thank you for helping us improve this system!
We gather information on disallowed links from multiple sources, such as public lists of phishing websites and websites used to distribure malware.
If you find a short-link linking to a "bad" website (see above for examples), please inform us here.
If you know a potentially bad website which is not yet disallowed on shrtcode, please let us know by sending us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org - thank you!
